WHAT IS AGILE METHODOLOGY?

THE FOUR PILLARS OF AGILE

Working software over
comprehensive documentation: The software that Agile teams develop should work. Additional
work, like documentation, is not as important as developing good software.
Customer collaboration over
contract negotiation: Customers
are extremely important within the Agile methodology. Agile teams allow
customers to guide where the software should go. Therefore, customer
collaboration is more important than the finer details of contract negotiation.
Responding to change over
following a plan: One
of the major benefits of Agile project management is that it allows teams to be
flexible. This framework allows for teams to quickly shift strategies and
workflows without derailing an entire project.
In an Agile Scrum team, there are typically three key roles:
Product Owner: This person is
responsible for defining the features of the product and deciding on release
dates and content. They prioritize the backlog and ensure the team delivers
value to the business.
Scrum Master: The Scrum
Master acts as a facilitator for the team, ensuring that the Scrum process is
followed. They help remove any obstacles that might impede the team’s progress
and ensure that the team adheres to Agile principles.
The Agile model can be compared to constructing a project in
manageable, adaptable increments. It emphasizes the importance of quickly
responding to changes, collaborating closely with customers, and providing
value in smaller segments. This method has gained popularity among many
companies as it allows them to address evolving requirements and enhance
customer satisfaction. Consider using the Agile model when your project
requires flexibility, when customer needs may shift, and when you aim to
deliver portions of your project consistently to keep clients satisfied.
